I know everyone has been posting these "50 Facts About Me" posts a lot lately, and like a lot of you I've been saying how I won't be posting one - but I'm going to have to go back on my word on that one I'm afraid - sorry!
As much as I've tried to avoid jumping on the band wagon I have to admit I really enjoy reading these posts. It's a great way to learn a little bit more about someone and you can learn some really interesting things about people. As I've been putting this list together myself I've also found it rather therapeutic. I love looking back at old pictures and making lists about pretty much anything, so this post was actually really fun to put together - even if I am a little annoyed at myself for caving in.
1. I am the old of three children and five grandchildren.
2. I have always been a bit of a daddy's girl.
3. I'm a country girl at heart but love living in a (small) city.
4. I love visiting new places.
5. I have a terrible sense of direction making exploring these new places very difficult.
6. In an orienteering challenge at school I walked like a crab rather than changing directions so I wouldn't get lost.
7. I get far too attached to animals, even ones I pass in the street.
8. I also have to name the animals I meet.
9. This extended to cuddly toy animals.
10. My toy koala, creatively named Koala, is the most important thing I own.
11. She was given to me by my nan when I was two and lives where ever I live.
12. My cat Gizzie is my baby.
13. My mum lets me talk to him on the phone so I don't miss him too much.
14. I have a memory box that is filled with random things I've collected over the year.
15. One of the most embarrassing things is a piece of animal tissue a guy I liked at school gave to me because I told him I thought it was cute.
16. I seem to be attracted to men that are older than me - like thirty-five plus. (Beards, big hair and suits are also good)
17. My boyfriend is actually a couple of months younger than me, but he has a beard so it's ok.
18. We've been together for nearly four years.
19. My brother is one on my best friends, he's dead inside except for fluffy things too.
20. Motion City Soundtrack is probably my favourite band.
21. I've seen them live four time in various parts of the country.
22. I named my blog after one of their songs - check out the video, it's awesome.
23. I love watching films although I couldn't pick a favourite.
24. It's rare that a day goes by where I haven't watched at least one film.
25. Johnny Depp is my favourite actor.
26. Secret Window is my favourite film of his.
27. If I could be any comic book character I would be Harley Quinn, she's a little psychotic.
28. I am currently trying to learn French.
29. This is partly because I think Romain Duris is hot and want to watch his films without subtitles.
30. I would some day like to live in France.
31. I rarely drink alcohol, but if I do it will be either Rekorderlig of red wine.
32. I do not like night clubs.
33. I think going to a gig is a far better way to spend a night out.
34. I hate people talking to me like I'm less intelligent than they are.
35. This insecurity is one of the main reasons I now have two degrees.
36. Since the age of five I have always had the urge to be in a band.
37. Unfortunately I'm very bad at singing and lack the dedication to play an instrument well.
38. I did record a single as part of my Music BTech - it is awful.
39. I love to dress up - as in what a five year old does, I just haven't grown up.
40. One of my goals in life is to write and publish a book.
41. I love receiving post.
42. I only own one pair of jeans and they're too big for me.
43. If I ever need cheering up Yazoo and spaghetti shapes are the way to go.
44. I hate Nestle for cancelling my favourite bar of chocolate (the whole baby milk thing in Africa is also not good).
45. I cry at tv and films a lot, even if they're not sad.
46. Pugs will always make me smile - squealing is optional.
47. I never outgrew blushing when I talk to someone I find attractive - this is really embarrassing.
48. I have always had more male friends than female.
49. The power of MSN helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life.
50. And on a happier note - I love Cougar Town, it's awesome and one of my biggest obsessions.
